Take a walk on OB pier and watch the locals surf. You cant leave San diego without catching sunset cliff's sunset.

ocean beach with it's unique Newport avenue is worth a visit. it's got a hippie flair, laid back and great for people watching. dog beach is also fun down there if you like watching dogs.

Great laid back beach community. I recommend ride share if you can, as parking can be difficult.
