Sightseeing
Newtonmore village is located at the bottom of the valley, it has multiple attractions. Notably there is the Highland Folk Museum which is a historic visit highlighting the reality of highland life through from hundreds of years ago. There is also a Wildcat Trail, visitors follow a map through the village to spot a series of painted wildcats. Overlooking the village is Creag Dubh a lovely medium length hill walk to overlook the village. There are various pubs and cafes throughout such as the Glen Hotel or the Balavil Hotel for a bite to eat and refreshment after a busy day.

Kingussie is a lovely small village in the heart of Badenoch, it has various cafes for a nice lunch and coffee. At the top of the village Kingussie Golf Course is located it is lovely to play but also for a walk around if golf isn't your thing. Access to a small hill walk call Creag Bheag is also available from Kingussie golf course which provides great views over the valley from the summit. Why not stop in at the golf course for a drink and snack to reward yourself after a nice walk. On the drive into Kingussie from Insh you will see a couple of sports fields to the left before you reach Kingussie. This is where the local Kingussie Shinty team plays. Shinty is a traditional Gaelic sport and the national sport of Scotland if you are interested in watching some sport of a nice day, games are generally at 2.30pm on a Saturday but start times can vary slightly.

There is also cafe facilities, children play park and a gift shop.
Landmark is a sort of rural amusement park, ideal for a day out with children. It has water slides, raised walkways, assault courses and much much more.

There is bike rental, ski hire, outdoor shops, pubs/bars and takeaway restaurants.
Really Aviemore has anything you need within the National Park.
