Kingussie is a lovely small village in the heart of Badenoch, it has various cafes for a nice lunch and coffee. At the top of the village Kingussie Golf Course is located it is lovely to play but also for a walk around if golf isn't your thing. Access to a small hill walk call Creag Bheag is also available from Kingussie golf course which provides great views over the valley from the summit. Why not stop in at the golf course for a drink and snack to reward yourself after a nice walk. On the drive into Kingussie from Insh you will see a couple of sports fields to the left before you reach Kingussie. This is where the local Kingussie Shinty team plays. Shinty is a traditional Gaelic sport and the national sport of Scotland if you are interested in watching some sport of a nice day, games are generally at 2.30pm on a Saturday but start times can vary slightly.
