The gallery with a sea view. Who could ask for more? this little gem is in the heart of St.Ives over looking the famous Porth Meor Beach. we love hanging out in the cafe watching the waves roll in drinking good coffee..... oh yes and seeing the fabulous art too.

This is one of my favourite places to visit. Catch a show or just go for a wander. Breath taking views and over looks my absolute number one beach Porth Curnow. A half hour (ish) drive from St.Ives down some of the best coastal roads Cornwall has to offer.

ssshhhhhh don't tell everyone! but this little beauty is worth a day out of St.Ives to go to. Lovely little cliff top cafe too. On a sunny day you could be in Thailand, I kid you not.

My secret escape place, I'm sure you are only expected to spend an hour or so here but on a sunny day you will find me hanging out in the garden pretending its my home, my total dream place. Worth a visit.

This walk is not for the faint hearted, but if you are the guest who owns a pair of walking boots, get them on, walk the coastal path to Zennor, have a coffee and a ice cream at Moomaid or a pint at the Tinners Arms pub and get the bus back. its worth it!

Here on a Thursday? pop down to the guildhall to pick up fresh seasonal fruit and veg, local fish, local cheeses, jams, and the best Cornish Indian curries you will ever taste.

Want a lesson? I love these guys. fun surf school on Porthmeor Beach, hire wet suits and boards out too by the hour, trained lifeguards many of them too and generally all round nice people. Do absolutely loads for the local kids too so they aways get my vote.

A great day out! Only am hours drive from St.Ives
Want an easy costal walk ? Head to Porthmeor beach cafe and head on the coastal path there. You can walk to Carbis Bay beach on just over half an hour and get the cute little train back for a pound. Want to go further ? Keep walking until Lelant ( Porth Kidney beach ) it’s stunning , dog friendly all year and if the tide is out you can drop down walk along the beach until the end and see St.Uny church. Walk into the village until you get to the badger pub , grab a drink and across the road hop on a bus back to St.Ives.
This walk, St.Ives to Lelant should take you approximately two hours , maybe less if you get a trot on!

Fine dining by the sea. For the special meal of your holiday this is the place. Over looking Porthminster Beach make sure you book a window table or eat on the terrace. The prices are definitely sky high but the food is amazing.

Just down the steps and past the co op is this little cafe. Mark has run this deli for years and its a must for a lovely lunch, picnic take out, perfect English breakfast and proper Cornish hospitality. The do a perfect hot chocolate too.

So a little hidden ( head to the Guildhall and your nearly there) but this is the best ice cream. Go ahead try the thousands of others in town but I have sampled them all and this is the one..... your welcome!

The food here is absolutely sublime. Perfectly prepared and delivered and totally delicious. Situated on the Harbour front upstairs this one is easy to miss.
It’s not a cheap eat more of a special occasion.
