Well worth the drive to this extraordinary open-air theatre

This is an amazing setting (if you catch the weather right) for a theatre trip. But do be aware that due to the distance from the main road down narrow lanes it does take a long time to get there from our property so it is a late night if you go to the theatre.

Perched in a vertiginous position above the Atlantic and carved into the rising cliffs, the views from the Minack Theatre are world renowned. The theatre was created by Rowena Cade and the first performance was staged here in August 1932.

This is an open air theatre made by an extraordinary woman in the 1930’s out of a cliff face. The story is told at the visitors centre and live performances can be booked on line.
