When you get off the tube at Leyton station, walk across the pedestrian crossing and down the steps to the Mills Superstore area. There is an enormous ASDA, Local BIG supermarket and cheap. You can get all the food you need there. You can also buy clothes and anything else you might need including all kitchen wares etc. Not that you will need them in our flat.

Olympic and Paralympic Village
Where the Athletes stayed during the Olympics.
An absolute must for lovers of History. It's one of the homes of Henry the 8th.

They are one of the few streets in the country composed of sixty independent shops. Small art galleries sit next to cup cake shops, vintage clothes stores, English and Italian delis, garden and antique shops. There is also a wealth of great pubs, cafes and restaurants. The shops have a common thread, a love of the flower market and its history, and a refusal to be dictated to by a retail world where the sense of fun has all but gone.

Turkish Food at a really good price. They also do takeaway if you would like it. Open 11.30 am - 11.30pm. Try to walk home to our flat from the Leyton tube station down the High Road as you will get a look at some of the local shops and restaurants. It will take you 18 minutes to walk from Leyton tube to our flat.

Try to walk home to our flat from the Leyton tube station down the High Road as you will get a look at some of the local shops and restaurants. It will take you 18 minutes to walk from Leyton tube to our flat.
Leyton Technical is located in the old Town Hall, which is only a couple of hundred yards down the road from Leyton Underground station on the High Road, we’ve restored many of the original features of the building, including its marbled mosaic floors, beautiful high ceilings and chandeliers, resulting in Waltham Forest Council awarding us a Commendation for ‘Best Heritage Scheme’. The building alone is worth popping in for, but the experience is worth staying for.
They offer an extensive range of Cask Marque real ales on eight hand pumps, real cider, a selection of bottled craft beers, seven premium lagers and wide array of wines and spirits, as well as home-made hot and cold bar snacks meaning the bar is always fully stocked with choice.
Their kitchen is open seven days a week serving quality seasonal British food, traditional Sunday roasts using locally sourced ingredients. Our famous veggie Wellington is available for the non-meat eaters and we offer a Host You Own Roast menu for larger bookings. Restaurant booking is recommended, especially for the quiz and on weekends.
Their late license means we are open until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays with DJ’s playing an eclectic range of music making us a regular weekend hang out. Other events include live music every Sunday, ‘Avin A Giraffe’ monthly comedy nights, the ever-busy pub quiz on Wednesdays and regular pop-up markets and local community meetings. Leyton Tech is a pub dedicated to offering the very best to the community.
Children are very welcome until 9, we have biscuits and water for dogs who are welcome in the bar area so bring down the family to try our food, drinks and events!

Brooks Farm is part of Capel Manor College, London’s premier place to study land based courses including: Animal Care, Dog Grooming, Horticulture, Arboriculture, Countryside Management, Garden Design, Royal Horticultural Society Courses, Environmental Conservation, Outdoor Adventure, Saddlery and Leatherwork.
Brooks Farm is situated in Skeltons Lane Park and has been a feature of community life in Leyton for over 20 years. Along with a range of animals including sheep, donkeys, ponies, goats, rabbits and hens we offer a range of farm based learning activities for the wider community. As well as being a lovely city farm, Brooks Farm is a place to study full time and part time courses. It is also a well-equipped Outdoor Learning Centre and ideal for school groups and parties. You will need to book these activities so please contact us for availability and prices.
Otherwise, Brooks Farm is free to enter for if you simply want to walk around and enjoy the experience of visiting a farm. Please do not give the animals any food. If you want to feed the hens, ducks, sheep or goats special animal food can be purchased from three dispensers – we’ll show you how. There is interesting information and useful facts and figures about the animals and our staff and students will be on hand to answer questions you might have.
