Part of local restaurant group McMenamins, the Kennedy School is a former elementary school that has been converted to a hotel, restaurant, bar (multiple bars, actually), movie theater, and soaking tub (a cross between a pool and hot tub – open to the public for $5). The atmosphere is the best part about the Kennedy School – even if you don’t stay for a meal or a drink, stop by to see the restored building, decorated with actual schoolwork and photos from when the building was an elementary school. Located about 1.5 miles west.
