Crown Point Park
Great park for hanging-out, watching boats and having a picnic. You can either cross over on La Playa Ave, or walk around the tip of Crown Point to get there.
Make sure to reserve a fire pit in the evening for a true San Diegan bonfire, overlooking the skyline of the surrounding neighborhoods including downtown.
This is a very cool park with lots of parking. There is a playground for the kids, restroom, and a beach. There are designated bonfire areas on the beach. This is worth checking out if you have kids.
Spacious, grassy park known for boat launches also has bonfire rings, picnic tables & grills
“Beautiful park situated on Mission bay with bathrooms that have showers. This park gives access to the boardwalk that surrounds the bay as well. ”
“Walk around the neighborhood and take a coffee to go, or sit down and enjoy a simple breakfast!”
“Hands down the best burger you will have! It is more of a bar. Cash only. It gets crowded. Located in Pacific Beach.”
“Great breakfast spot just down the street. American/Mexican food and coffee. They also have mimosas!”
“Cant. Go. Wrong. If you are uninitiated into Vietnamese phood (see what i did there ;) then start with: Fresh Rolls (ask to hold the pork so its just shrimp) Chicken Pho (its a soup, with delicious broth, noodles and yummy other fixings). I say chicken, because thats easy to start with. But i love the rare steak (it cooks in the broth so its not rare once you eat it) and even tofu. YouTube how to personalize the broth to make it spicier, etc .. its FUN!”
