Love this place - will never tire of the view of the boats in the harbour, nor get bored of mooching amongst the small independent businesses and food places dotted within the small huts.

Turn left out of Sunset Heights and head towards Whistable. On a warm day, the walk from Herne Bay to Whistable along the coastline is beautiful. It is a good handful of miles, but what a wonderful walk it is. Whistable harbor is known for its fresh seafood, but also its live entertainment and shed traders. If the walk back appears a little tiresome, it is easy to catch a bus or train back to Herne Bay from Whistable, or call for a taxi.

Held every other Saturday at The Umbrella Centre, this offers a gastronomic feast of local delights. To the rear of the Umbrella Centre is a secret gem of a cafe with outdoor seating and homecooked food.
