Horseshoe Lake, located just outside of town in the Mammoth Lakes Basin, is the perfect place to enjoy the areas spectacular alpine scenery, as well as to enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, swimming, and mountain biking.

What a beautiful lake to swim, hike, and bike. There is a dog-friendly beach to wear out your furry friend. Bring bikes to the lake and take the paved path back to the Village for a fun and exhilarating ride with breathtaking views.

Drive to this lake, then walk the trail around to a couple of great climbing areas, Horseshoe Slabs or Sunshine Wall. Or take the walking/cycling path around the lake.
