A really useful local's beach if you don't want to drive as far as the lovely Witterings. It has a grassed parking area with basic beach store and loos.

This is where we all went as kids and still do. Walk from flat - just follow sea front 1-2 miles East. Cafe, nice scenic walk along sea front and if you're up to it to Littlehampton harbour.

unspoilt shingle beach, never v busy. beach cafe often open at weekends and during the week in high season. walk east from here and it will take you 30mins to get to East Beach for fish and chips

Hire a boat for a few hours and make your way along the river Arun. Great views of Arundel castle and town- worth it for the photo opportunity! Moor up at the Black Rabbit for lunch, or a pint.

Nearest beach, about 20 minute drive. Quieter than the more popular Witterings and much easier to get to!
