Its a great destination for families as you'll learn about the northern resorts culture and past, get some education on the local ecology, and it gives you an excuse to go up the Gunflint Trail and eat at the Trail Center. Maybe you'll see a moose!

Historic Gunflint Trail lodge turned into a museum focused on the natural and human history of the Gunflint Trail. Features a network of hiking trails as well as regular naturalist presentations and activities. Kid friendly.
