The historic and famous Cape Schank lighthouse is an absolute must see when staying at Acacia Rise. The panoramic views out to Bass Strait and beyond are simply unforgettable. Just a short three minute drive from Acacia Rise, a visit to the Lighthouse must be included on any itinerary. For those looking for some exercise, be sure to tackle one of the many hiking trails nearby. You will not be disappointed.

The Cape Schanck Lighthouse is a real treasure, with beautiful walks and photograph opportunities. Obviously the historic lighthouse is a draw card, although the reserve's clifftop walks and coastal views are quite spectacular. You can trek from the top of Cape Schanck, down the steps and pathways to Pulpit Rock and the Black Pebble Beach. A great visit for families (prams and wheelchairs are not suitable for the cliff walks). + Look out for whales between May and October. + The lighthouse has limited opening hours on weekends so do your research if you want to enter/climb inside. + Terrific ocean views but can be pretty windy. + It is a National Park so no dogs allowed (even if in the car). Approx 20-25minute drive from the Guesthouse.
