Hearst Castle Visitor Center
Hearst Castle is a National Historic Landmark and California Historical Landmark mansion located on the Central Coast of California, United States. D
Famous Hearst Castle. If you've never been and have the time, its worth the trip. Basically a big museum that will take at least half a day. Check it out online to see if its a fit for you. If you go, also see the Elephant Seals 4.5 miles north of the castle.
Well, because it's Hearst's Castle! If you don't do a tour, take the time to see the 40 minute film in the Imax theatre "Building the Dream." It's a very interesting short documentary of the history of Hearst Castle. ~Afterwards, take a picnic & go to the beach right across the street (Hwy 1)…
We are about an hour from Hearst Castle in San Simeon. It's a gorgeous coastal drive and the tours are awesome because the guides add great humor and interest. The view from there is amazing!

Grocery or Supermarket
“Major grocery store. Has fresh sushi boxes to go, bakery, deli counter, florist.”
“Great coffee - they brew Stumptown coffee which is from Portland, OR. They also have a great outdoor patio, which is nice for kids to play and run around.”
“Here you will find a gourmet treat with food made from scratch. Lunch and dinner are both great and the wait staff are really friendly. I love their salads and their seafood bisque is truly amazing. They will do so much to try and make you happy.”
