East Rock Park
Great park surrounding East Rock Mountain. Guided trails and cliff steps for hiking. Can also drive up back side to observation platform and monument. Great view of the city!
Miles of trails surround this historic park. If you're up for the challenge, hike up the side of the rock for excellent views of New Haven at the top!
Where I run to, normally. Bit hilly but can have good views of the city from up top.
“Breathtaking selection of art from all across the globe spanning centuries. Best of all, admission is free! ”
“The Yale Center for British Art at Yale University in downtown New Haven, Connecticut, houses the largest and most comprehensive collection of British art outside the United Kingdom”
“Fantastic live music (hip hop, jazz, rock) and great drink prices. Hyatus doesn't recommend the food but if you eat beforehand, you'll enjoy the vibe, sound, and draft beer. ”
“The place to go for authentic Mexican food and fantastic ceviche. (2 minute walk.) ”
“Long considered the one of the top 5 if not number 1 pizzeria's in the country, Frank Pepe's Pizzeria is a must visit. Unsurprisingly, Hyatus recommends the White Clam Pizza. Invented at Franke Pepe's (they also invented their coal-fired pizza ovens which are still in use today), the white clam pizza is made with fresh clams, garlic, cheese, olive oil, and is just absolutely delicious.”
