British Arts Museum will take your breath away and is located right across the street from The Yale Art Museum!
A favorite art gallery out of all my travels - due to the intimate setting for the art and the serenity and beauty of the museum architecture. Designed by the renowned Louis Kahn, the museum is itself a work of art. Also see and compare his earlier museum across the street: the Yale Art Gallery.
“Breathtaking selection of art from all across the globe spanning centuries. Best of all, admission is free! ”

“The best bread in New Haven! This great cafe/bookstore has been in New Haven for decades. It is in the ground floor of the British Art Museum which makes for a nice combination of activities on a rainy day. The British Art Museum is free also!”
“Nice restaurant/bar which gets extremely busy. They serve good pizza and have a nice beer selection. It really packs out on Friday and Saturday nights so can be a bit of a wait, though there are also a lot of alternate restaurants along this strip.”
