Seafood is amazing. Breakfast is awesome as well! Paul's recommendation for breakfast is the chicken fried steak. Dress code is whatever you want to wear.
The Custom House has some of the best food, and one of my favorite paces to get clam chowder, in Avila Beach!
Great seafood, fish n chips, etc. Moderate to high price. Beautiful location, comfy, bar. great views
“Rent an electric bike and pedal or not! Roughly $20.00 per hour and it is money well spent. This is a fast and fun way to see Avila Beach, Sea Lions, golf course and great beach views and much more. Ride your bike to the pier and grab a bite to eat at Mersea's and check out the boats coming and going. Great way to spend a hour or two. ”
“Bikinis, beer and the beach. Sound like paradise? Well it is, and it’s happening here at Mr. Rick’s in Avila Beach! Equipped with pool tables, a large beach front patio, and a hot, young energetic staff, Mr. Rick’s caters to anyone looking to have a good time. After a long day on the beach and the sun goes down, put on your dancing shoes and let the best local bands and hottest DJs entertain you all night long.”
“Fat Cats Cafe is one of the most charming cafes or restaurants you will ever visit! This rustic diamond has been attracting not only locals but a variety of California visitors and travelers from all over for over a quarter of a century. Located in a beautiful little beach getaway (Avila Beach, Port San Luis) near San Luis Obispo it has everything you can ask for. A reputation for its Ocean views and great service are the reasons customers come to Fat Cats but award winning meals are the reason they return.”
“Drive out onto the last pier in Avila and sit over the ocean for a great lunch at this spot”
“Interested in wine tasting while on the coast? Stop by Alapay and meet Scott & Rebecca Remmenga, a husband and wife team that have a true love for wine. It's located about one block from the beach and offers wine tasting, wine for sale, and gifts.”
