Absolute best spot on a mountain to view the Phoenix Valley. Be aware, although it is a short hike, the trek can be rather steep in some areas. Moderate-high difficulty level. Very popular hike in the city so hike out early if you'd prefer to avoid crowds.
If you are looking for a hike, this will take a good 1.5 hour each way. Bring at least a liter of water with you as this is moderate to strenuous. But the views at the top are the best 360-degree view of the entire city of Phoenix.
If you're looking for a good workout and a difficult hike, try heading up Camelback Mountain. Best views in the Valley.
Cholla Trailhead off N. Invergordon Road is the closest trailhead to Old Scottdale, only two miles away.
