Sci-Port Discovery Center
A great place to take the kids and watch them explore in the cool!! Our summer has turned steamy, so this is a great way to keep the kids busy and stay nice and comfortable.
“Marilynn's Place is a hip spot that locals love to frequent for Sunday brunch. The chef whips up a new menu each week full of non-traditional southern flavor combinations that are guaranteed to please. Lesser known, they also serve dinner each night as well.”
“Great local brewery that originated in Shreveport and has distribution through multiple states. The tasting room is open Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 4-9pm and Saturdays 12-9pm. They don’t serve food at the brewery but normally will have food trucks out front on Fridays and Saturdays. Located at 1251 Dalzell Street. ”
“Norton is a true hidden gem lost among the locals and hardly mentioned in tourism guides. Featuring an exquisite collection of historic and important works of southern art of all types, what is often unknown is the natural beauty of the gardens which sets the backdrop for the Gallery itself. The Norton is also used frequently for local events - so be sure to see what is happening here while you are in town!”
“Another Food Truck turned successful Restaurant - Ki is one of my absolutely favorites in Shreveport...and I'm not the only one. On a busier day you will be lucky to find a place to sit - good thing tacos are a hand held food! Try the bar side when they have live music for a really eclectic experiences for all the senses!”
