Severndroog Castle on Shooters Hill is gothic style, brick-built tower. Having undergone a massive restoration project, the castle has been open to the public since 2014 and the rooms once again have beautiful ornate ceilings and chandeliers. The ground floor is now a cafe open from breakfast and brunch, to lunch and tea. It’s a great stop after some exploring.

A truly magical and secret castle in the local woodlands. There is a lovely cafe at the bottom and breathtaking views over London and Kent from the top of the tower. There is a small entrance charge. Opening hours are usually Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sundays.
