Sedona Airport Vortex
This is where everyone goes to see the sun set. Sweeping views of Thunder mountain & West Sedona, beautiful light. Be prepared for a crowd and get there in plenty of time.
This used to be free but times change and the Airport Authority now charges a nominal fee to enjoy the view, I think a dollar. I would recommend going just before sunset, it overlooks West Sedona with the beautiful red rocks in the background.
Beautiful overlook of West Sedona and a great place to watch the sunset which are often absolutely breathtaking! I know this says Vortex, but the vortex is actually a little down the road before the summit. It is also a great stop!
Drive up Airport Road to the small parking area on the left. Take the trail through the depression between hills. Look for twisted Juniper trees, indicating the vortex energy is strong here.
