Awesome wooded trail that starts at Cass Park and ends at Taughannock State Park, parallels Rt 89 the entire way. More suitable for biking due to the distance involved.

Safe outdoor walking/mountain-bike paths running parallel to Rt. 89 North. Heads in the direction of NYS Park-Taughannock (on Cayuga Lake...). AMAZING.......

The unpaved trail runs through a rural backdrop as it makes its way from Cass Park in Ithaca to Taughannock Falls State Park near Trumansburg. See reviews and detail online.

Popular with local joggers, bikers and dog walkers, it borders the upper rim trails of Taughannock State Park and provides nice views along a fairly level path. The trail is just past the upper entrance to Taughannock State Park on the left as you pass over the river. One of my favorite walks in the area.
