A Family Favorite. Ashe County Cheese offers a great way to learn a little bit about cheese with the peer-in windows at the factory, and then walk across the street to buy cheese for all your friends. They have 20 varieties of cheese, some gift baskets, a candy store with barrels of many kinds of wrapped candy, and and ice cream counter where they also sell fudge. Ample parking diagonally across from the store.
