Goose Spit Park
Goose Spit is a great place for a beach excursion and has a shoreline walk to a pristine sandy beach the locals call “Little Mexico”.
Our favorite morning walk to the beach. Many runners and biking enthusiasts favorite too. Try the stairs for your fitness goals or just for the amazing view! Mid February when the herring run arrives the water turns a beautiful turquoise. The whales, and seals come for the herring too!
Catch views of the Comox Glacier at this beautiful beach a short drive from the suite.
I Totally Adore SunBathing & Swimming here. The beach is white, soft & warm. It is semi-sheltered and so the water is warm in late afternoons and gentle. ie. no big waves.
Amazing views. Pictures do not do it justice. Climb the first set of stairs and enjoy the view. Climb the second set and see the Eagles nest. Walk the beach to the end and you will find Little Mexico, a white sand beautiful spot to relax the day away.
“9 acres of landscaped waterfront gardens and heritage buildings. The Filberg Festival August 2 - 5, 2019, celebrates the best of arts, crafts and music from across Canada.”
“Seal Bay Park has maintained walking trails through the forest, with access to a big beach that looks across towards Powell River. Keep your eye out for a fun rope swing as you walk along the pebble beach.”
“Views of the Comox wharf and harbour with outside tables along with tasty dishes, local craft brews and friendly staff make this a great choice for dinner or meeting friends.”
Point of Interest
“Great atmosphere, the staff are incredible. They offer in house Crafted Beer choices, beer flights, Local Cider and wine choices. The menu has a good variety of yummy snacks and the room is beautiful. When we visited they were just working on setting up a seating area outside. The next time you are heading to Comox, take time to stop in!”
