This place is one of the birthplaces of the whole popular culture in Porto. Saint John celebrations are huge over here on the 24th of June. Besides it is a great view point over the river and the bridges!

Passeio das Fontainhas has a very cool view to Douro, and it's usually not very crowded so you can have some peaceful contemplation of the river.
