Agios Nikolaos is the second port of Zakinthos connecting it with Pessada, Kefalonia island during the summer. It is set sheltered bay with an islet in front of it. Many speed boats and boat trips to the Blue Caves and Navagio beach run from here all day long and the trip is much sorter compared to boats starting from Zakinthos town. Around the port you will some nice tavernas and a bakery. There is also a small pebbly beach between the two piers.

There are two small shops , a gas station and a kiosk in Agios Nikolaos. There you find the basics. For larger supermarkets you need to go to Alykes or Zakynthos direction Airport.

This is the small port you need if you want to hop to Kefalonia (Pessada). Ferries go twice a day, just make sure you get your tickets in advance from the travel agency downtown. From the same port you can visit the Navagio (Shipwreck beach).
