Brandywine Falls Provincial Park
Park with a 70-m. waterfall over a wall of volcanic rocks, plus hiking trails & picnic areas.
Brandywine falls are a short walk from the parking lot right beside the Sea to Sky Highway, and is worth the stop. There's a nice viewing platform for great photo op's. The parking lot is closed in winter but if you're keen you can park by the gate and walk in.
“Great local hangout and aprés scene. Good pub food & draft beer selection. The patio on a sunny day is great spot for people watching”
“It's so close! Walk, jog or mountain bike. Close to Cheakamus river which has great views also. ”
“Tapleys Neighbourhood Pub is a comfortable locals Pub nestled in the heart of the Whistler village. It is a great place to watch all of your sports, hang out with friends, enjoy one of our many craft beers or mingle with the locals.”
“Is located in Alta Vista on Alta Lake, which is South of the village. This popular park contains swimming docks and rafts, a children's play area, a large grass lawn, picnic tables, BBQ stands and a concession stand. You can also rent boats, canoes, kayaks, pedal boats for use on the lake. The River of Golden Dreams can be accessed here. ”
“This is my recommendation for a big splurge night out. Chef Melissa Craig is one of Canada’s top chefs. She won gold in the Canadian Culinary Championships of Canada in 2008. The food is top notch here. You can sabre a bottle of bubbles in the 20,000 bottle cellar, shoot vodka in the ice-room or have ice cream made from scratch with liquid nitrogen tableside. ”
