L'Artusi opened Dec. 2008 and is named for Pellegrino Artusi. The kitchen presents Gabe and Katherine Thompson's modern take on traditional Italian Cuisine. The mostly Italian wine list is presented by region with a map DOCs and DOCGs as well as traditional local dishes, helping to demystify Italy.

Italian restaurant with a slightly more upscale ambience. Classy and modern. Food is phenomenal. Please make reservations or you can walk-in but the wait might be long.
My favorite Italian restaurant in NYC. Pasta is incredible. Beef tartare is incredible too. Desserts incredible too!
For the most romantic and delicious Italian meal walk on over to L'Artusi. Dimly lit, always packed, with an extraordinary wine list and pastas to match. Don't skip the pici (my personal favorite) and be sure to save room for dessert. Reservations in advance highly recommended.
Fancy Italian restaurant (reservations almost impossible) Secret tip: Try to show up after 10pm or before 6pm during the week, sit at the bar, and order the “Garganelli”
