The largest ancient woodland in the South East. Lots of walks amongst Chestnut coppice. Art installations. Crab and Winkle bicycle trail from Whitstable to Canterbury goes through The Blean.

Great cycle route that takes you from our cottage all the way to Blean Woods and on to Canterbury, if you are up for the challenge. Approx 1.5 hrs. Park area is lovely where you can stop for a picnic, and just enjoy your surroundings in the beautiful countryside. Cycle hire in Sydenham Street, 2 mins walk from our cottage.
