Fiesta Island Park
A really great biking destination near us is Fiesta Island and its 4-mile cycling loop around the perimeter. With no cars in sight and spectacular views of salt water the whole ride, this bike ride is easy to reach from the homes with a protected bike path the entire way there and back.
This is one of our favorite parks with a ton of action: people exercising, boating, dogs and horses swimming in the water, camping, bicycling, grilling, ect.
“Great area to relax. Park in the lots immediately north of the Hilton. Large grass areas for picnicking. Also, immediately on water at Hilton, a good boat/jetski rental dock open to public. I recommend renting one of the speed boats for an hour and cruise around Mission Bay. Great day activity. ”
“ “Simply the best cappuccino in town. Chuck (the owner) travels the world and sources his coffee from local farmers across the globe. They won best roaster of the year last year for the entire US! One of 5 featured CA coffee roasters by AAA Westways Mag, its a warm, inviting place. Friday mornings there are public "cuppings" (tastings) where you can learn about roasting and brewing coffee.” ”
“Donuts made fresh on demand with custom toppings! A must for a donut lover. ”
“Distance 3 Miles. Say Hi to Tony, always has stories to tell :) Classic Italian Fare in a very elegant setting. Great for a special occasion, reservations are recommended”
“Very good, local, independent sandwich shop. I love the veggie reuben, which is not on the menu. They recently added a small selection of beer (in cans) to their menu. ”
