The small reserve is close by and numerous varieties of birds can be seen. It is a lovely short walk around the lagoon - and it's free :)

The Audubon Center is easily the best local experience for viewing and nature as both the past and the present. It's on the edge of the Buena Vista Lagoon, a good place to see nature and how we people have impacted it. Stop by: It's interesting for everyone.

Inside the Buena Vista Audobon Society and Center you will find exhibitions and displays of the flora and fauna of this area. Several trails outside of the Center will take you up to Buena Vista Lagoon where you go explore the beautiful wildlife firsthand.
