One of the most important (if not the most important) coffee bars in the city.
Emblematic cultural café that dates back to the mid 1850's. Located in the heart of the downtown area, on Av. de Mayo. VERY TOURISTY.
Oldest coffee shop in town, the most famous and classic coffee shop we have. It is from 1858, and its speciality is the hot chocolate with churros.
“One of Buenos Aires' most beautiful buildings is this 22-story office block, whose unique design was inspired by Dante’s Divine Comedy; its height (100m) is a reference to each canto (or song), the number of floors (22) to verses per song, and its divided structure to hell, purgatory and heaven. To see Palacio Barolo you'll need to book a guided tour, during which you'll get to ride in the 1920s elevator and admire the panoramic views from the rooftop lighthouse.”
“This is a very interesting shopping mall. Modeled after the great Italian arcade Gallerias Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan, the building was commissioned exclusively for Le Bon Marche. It was originally constructed in the 1890’s as the Buenos Aires headquarters for the Parisian department store. The mall is inside a lovely Beaux Arts building in downtown Buenos Aires.”
“Casa Rosada (Pink House) the President seat here during government operations, is next to the Plaza de Mayo where you can also see the Cabildo an many other historical city attractions. Take the subway in Callao (Line D) to Catedral Station (is a short ride), or you can walk there (25min - 2.3km).”
“Iconic pizza place, located at recognised Corrientes Av, where theatres and lights stand out”
“Following a decade of construction, the National Congress opened in 1906. It was built in a Greco-Roman style and displays similarities to well-known edifices from around the world. Standing at the main steps you will observe its likeness to Washington’s U.S. Capitol. ”
