Over the years we have grown to really appreciate this place... The staff is always so friendly and helpful. We love that we can just rent a SUP or kayak, bobcat, peddle boat... They even have a watercraft launch that is free with admission. If you have waverunners or boat, it's nice to be able to take a few of your group out and leave the rest at the beach. Allows for the group to do different things.. One thing about having a boat, especially when you have a group that wants to do different things, it's not always possible when you don't really have a beach to keep them entertained. For example, when some of us want to go out and do water sports, i.e., wakeboarding or surfing, the kids do get bored waiting for their turn or if they don't want to participate. Or maybe some want to fish and the other half is getting bored. It's just nice for them to have a base camp and you can pick them up and drop off right there near the swim dock. They have beautiful lounge chairs, picnic tables with umbrellas laid out on the beach (you need to bring your own beach umbrellas for the lounge chairs). I learned recently that they have an upper lawn where you can request a bbq that they will provide. The cafe has a limited menu, but seems there is something for everyone and of course we love that they have a bar. With kids, it's hard to keep everyone happy and entertained, but this place has it all for our family and guests. It's easy because they provide almost everything. The parking limits the amount of people, but Tahoe Donner provides shuttle service from either trout creek or Northwoods Rec centers. We highly recommend.

Private beach for Tahoe Donner guests with per person daily usage fee when you bring the Tahoe Donner Guest Pass. You can rent kayaks, SUPs or just chill on the beach. Food and restrooms are available at the beach clubhouse.

Season & Hours (conditions permitting): May 27 - September 5 daily 7AM - 9 PM September 6 - October 2 daily 8 AM - 7 PM Shuttle Service is available from Truckee High School paring lot on weekends. The beach is typically crowded, but there is drink and food service available on the beach along with a variety of rental equipment for the water. There is a public beach that allows dogs right next to the private club, and another public beach at the other end of the lake if you prefer a different scene.
