The drive up that winds up the Oak Creek Canyon and this overlook at the end of the canyon are beautiful. It's also a place to find Navajo and Hopi tribe members selling their wares.

Oak Creek Canyon Scenic Drive beginning just outside of Flagstaff on Hwy 89A is a winding, 25 mph stunning drive that passengers love – but the driver may not. The 14-mile journey starts at 7000 ft within Ponderosa Pines and descends into the diverse Oak Creek ecosystem that provides a beautiful fall season show of colors. During mid to late summer monsoon season, waterfalls may be visible along the way. The elevation drops 4000 ft, arriving at the incredible red rock scenery of Sedona. Along the 45-minute drive prior to reaching the town of Sedona, you’ll pass Slide Rock State Park, Midgley Bridge, and many hiking trails. It's a drive well worth making.
