My recommendation for a quick tour of the area is to rent a car and drive up north along Mission Blvd. Take a left on La Jolla Blvd and in a few miles turn left on to Palomar Ave. Follow the road along the coastline for half a mile. Turn right on to Nautilus St. and follow the road all the way up…
Fantastic views along the coast line of San Diego. Free parking and picnic spots. Come on a clear day and you can see the Coronado Islands in Mexico!
Want a 360 degree view of all of San Diego? Drive to the top of Mt Soledad (less than 10 minute drive) to get this amazing view!
3 miles up the hill is the Mt Soledad Cross that serves as a Veterans Memorial with spectacular 360 degree views of PB, La Jolla and downtown San Diego. On really clear days, you can see all way to Dana Point and Catalina to the north, and Tijuana and the Coronado Islands to the south.
Amazing views along the Pacific Ocean. FREE parking and picnic areas. Drive up on a clear day and see the Coronado Isnlands in Mexico.
Head south on Draper Ave to Nautilus St and walk up the hill to Mt Soledad, a good workout.
Mt. Soledad National Veterans Memorial - This is one of the best views in all of San Diego. 360 degree view of the area. Its free and only 13 min drive.
Quick drive up with pretty views overlooking San Diego and the ocean. Easy stop if you’re out driving.
A monument high on top of the hill. Great views of San Diego and even Mexico. I love to reflect up there and take time to thank our Veterans
Nice view of the town, great place for a picnic and a bit of local World War II history at this memorial
“You can't go wrong with this classic breakfast spot. Wait times can be quite long so we recommend getting on a waitlist through Yelp.”
“I don’t like to tell people about this place because it’s so busy and a local favorite. But I’m not selfish so check it out, haha. The BEST seafood in San Diego. You can buy some to bring home and cook yourself or eat lunch or dinner there. This place is busy so bring your patience with you! ”
“A beautiful park that has an outstanding view of our bay, downtown San Diego and more.”
