“Clear water, dense swamp forest and marshy pastures; the Naardermeer is like a green oasis between Amsterdam and Hilversum. Rare animals like the otter and purple heron feel completely at home in this protected nature reserve. You can visit the area by taking a boat trip with the forest ranger, taking a walk around the lake or taking a bike ride on the quiet polder roads.”
