If I’m in that mood to have a nice, classy cocktail, this is where I'm going. You may not think of a cocktail as being part of a man’s overall style, but being stylish is the whole MO here. It’s dark, sort of Prohibition-style. All the bartenders wear collared shirts, braces (what we call suspenders), regular neckties or bowties. Sleek hairstyles. A good date-night spot. If you don’t have a drink in mind, let the bartender make you something he likes. These guys are super personable and knowledgeable. They’ll ask you some questions about yourself and, based upon what they hear, make you a drink tailored to fit.
Classic cocktail bar in a beautiful setting. They won't seat you unless there's room so go early or prepare to wait!
“Two James, located in Detroit's Corktown, is the first distillery in Detroit since prohibition. Enjoy an educational tour or sip on one (or two) of their hand crafted cocktails! They don't serve food, but there are frequently food trucks in the parking lot.”
“Really really good slow cooked ribs. Always busy. Sometimes an hour wait time. If that happens, there are other worthy restaurants on the same strip. It's across the street from the old train station that was abandoned and vacant for thirty years and has recently been bought by the Ford Motor Company to be a headquarters for their autonomous car research and development”
“nice bar downtown, usually the best in the summer due to their iced alcoholic beverages.”
“A unique experience on the way cheaper end of interesting restaurants! An excellent slider spot with an ever-rotating menu. Great, cheap cocktails.”
