Lighthouse built in 1857. Great park and beach for a picnic. Awesome view of the the LI Sound and Connecticut.

(22 min drive) This location for a lighthouse was hand selected in 1797 by George Washington. Overlooking the Long Island Sound this Lighthouse helped ships sail from Boston. It now serves as a Nautical Museum.

Built in 1857, the lighthouse is open from Memorial Day through Columbus Day, Sat and Sun from 11:30am - 4:00 pm. $3 for adults and FREE for kids under 12.

This lighthouse is located in Southold on the Long Island sound. It has great views so pack a lunch and spend the day on this historic site.
