Amazing and unique American cuisine--lunch only in the summer months. Dinner added throughout the rest of the year
Amazing local dining. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I suggest the steak frites. Amazing drinks.
“Art, history and kids museum that will surprise you. The art exhibits most often focus on Texas and regional artists, beautifully curated in wonderful galleries in this former hotel.”
“Thursday night is Steak night! It goes until they sell out of steaks so arrive early. They have live music, as well. A great place to spend any other night as they have a feed truck with an assortment of food and the ambiance makes it a great place to sit and chat with friends and family. ”
“Hands down the best museum in Abilene. Interactive and features the history of this area from 1780s-1880s. See the world's largest weather vanes (the flying buffalo) and find out how the road from Abilene to Buffalo Gap was paved with buffalo bones. Worth every penny. Bonus: has a nice gift shop. It also is the Abilene Visitor's Center and if you ask for visitor's tips from the Executive Director you can also meet your host. :) We're biased, but it really is the best thing to do in Abilene. We moved here fifteen years ago just for the opportunity to run this museum.”
“The zoo is a good stop if the weather is nice. If it's hot there's a splash pad adjacent to the zoo, as well as a park.”
“A wonderful independent coffee shop with a cool vibe and nice people. They support local artists by showcasing different art on the walls rotating regularly. The have the best chai latte I've ever had.”
