Point of Interest
“This theatre was design by Henry Irwin, the famous palace architect, in the Gothic style during the Colonial Era. It was named after the Gaiety Theatre in London. It was supposed to be a Town Hall but quickly turned into the favorite hangout spot for young officers and their wives. Many famous people over the years including Rudyard Kipling and Shashi Kapoor performed here in their prime. ”
