A short drive to Petone foreshore - a very safe swimming beach, no rips, and very flat a long way out from shore. Lovely place for a relaxing stroll, fish n chips on the beach. Visit the Petone Settlers Museum; the Alfred Memelink Artspace Gallery; or a dairy for an ice cream on the beach.
