Great kiwi Fish & Chips and real milk shakes. Limited food supplies so best to do a supermarket shop before arriving.

Offering Fish & Chips, Toasties etc. There are picnic tables over the road where you can enjoy your lunch - you just have to make sure the seagulls don't steal your chips! Check opening hours at the store, they tend to close early if there's no one around!

Castlepoints local store, for all basic requirements, from milk and bread to fishing gear. Great coffee, amazing fish n chips.

Castlepoint Store is an iconic and uniquely positioned general store and takeaways in the seaside township of Castlepoint in the Wairarapa. Famous for its stunning scenery and surf beaches, Castlepoint is a holiday destination for Kiwis and visitors and the store occupies a prominent position directly across from the beach. Supplying grocery items, hot takeaway food, L'affare coffee, cafe-style cabinet food and off licence alcohol, this is a one-stop-shop with no other store within a 60-kilometre radius. Prices are a little on the high side, but nonetheless very handy to have a local store to top up on general items or just to grab a bite to eat.
