The old town of Altea is one of the jewels of the Costa Blanca, its streets draw a labyrinth of immaculate white houses, filled with plants and colorful flowers, beautiful cobbled streets and staircases that give the place a nice Mediterranean flair.
Quaint Spanish coastal fishing town we’ll known for its harbor views, promenade, tapas and church overlooking the town
A visit to the Old Town of Altea is a must with its cobbled narrow streets, restaurants and artisan shops.
Altea old town (Casco Antiguo) is a must. You can´t miss it! Up in the hill you will find the old town. Walk around the small stone streets, white houses and beautiful views to the mountains. There are many restaurants, handcrafts and arts shops. Also in the summer there´s an interesting market with handcraft items, jewelry, decoration. I recommend you to make reservetions for dinner in advance. There´s many restaurants to choose. You can drive and park in altea (check public parking parking), or you can go by train (I recommend it in summer if you don´t feel lazy). A taxi back home costs around 15 €, and you´ll be free of stress.
