Bear & The Butcher
New gastropub completely renovated. Was a nightclub for many years changing names and themes constantly. The new owners also own The Village Idiot downtown, which has done very well, both very meaty.
One of my favorite things to do on the weekends is enjoy a fabulous brunch with friends. And I absolutely love it when I can find a place that offers Brunch on Saturday & Sunday. The Bear & The Butcher provides a delicious Brunch from 10:00-2:00 pm every Sat. & Sun. They have a great Bloody Mary Bar…
“If you are in town and find yourself in need of a haircut, color or undo I would recommend giving this salon a call. Katie does my hair and is absolutely amazing. She does color, fantasy color, updos and braids. I have long, thick hair and she has taken care of it for years. I have never been disappointed and regularly receive rave reviews for my hair, courtesy of Katie. ”
“If you are in the mood for something filling and economical, you can't go wrong with Mancino's. The subs are amazing! I love the Reuben, Veggie and Club. I always just get a half and the portions are huge! Great for lunch or dinner. They close at 8:00 p.m. so just keep that in mind.”
“If you need to get a nice manicure/pedicure while you are in town, this is my favorite spot. I love their Spa Pedicures & SNS nails. The do a fantastic job and they are next door to one of my favorite sushi places and there are some amazing Cupcakes on the other side. Take advantage of getting some pampering while you are in town. Then kick back with some delicious sushi. ”
“If you want to taste what a good home cooked meal taste like in Kentucky, go to Cracker Barrel. I have never had a bad meal there in over 30 years of dining with them. It is comfort food with a country atmosphere. A third of the restaurant is a cute country store. Great for picking up a souvenir or two. If you want a true southern meal, try the country fried steak with sawmill gravy, dumplings, macaroni and cheese and green beans with some buttermilk biscuits and a sweet tea with lemon to wash it all down. YUM!”
