Looking for a strenuous hike that will provide you with breathtaking vistas of the surrounding area? This is your spot. An additional benefit is that its much higher elevation brings the temperature down significantly which is a wonderful escape from our desert heat. Only a 20 minute drive.

There is a ranger station at the entrance, where you will have to pay a small fee of $7. The friendly rangers will help you to find one of the many hiking trails. Some of the trails are easy, and some are hard. If you're adventurous enough, you can hike all the way to Hualapai Peak, Hayden Peak, or Aspen Peak!

You are in the ponderosa pines! Yes, a real forest! Nice and cool up there, with RV camping, hiking, and cabins. During the winter, there is lots of snow! You can see Deer, or sometimes Elk wondering around. There is also a small lake, called Pine Lake. If you want a great dinner stop at the Hualapai Mountain Resort.

Hualapai Mountain is only 20 minutes away from the guest house! There is a nice log restaurant with Elk walking around everywhere (the local pet's, but remember they are still wild!) The temp's are typically 10 degrees cooler than Kingman. It's a wonderful place to hike, bike ride!
