The Wildcat Centre
The Wildcat Trail is an orbital route around Newtonmore taking in the banks of the River Spey, open heather moorland, wooded glens and burbling streams. The Trail can either be walked as a whole or in sections as there are various paths linking the Trail to different start points in Newtonmore.
Family friendly "orienteering" around the nearby town of Newtonmore as you search for over 100 brightly painted wildcat sculptures that are often remarkably tricky to spot!
Fantastic 10km orbital trail around the village. Stunning views, leaflets and maps available to buy for a small fee at the Wildcat Centre in the village. It's signposted but recommend the Trail Map and an OS map. Tons of other great walks locally we are known as the Walking Centre of Scotland!
