A great alternative to the much more known Tarragona, this city will chamr you with lots of restaurant options and a nice shopping street. Don't forget to drink the traditional Vermut from Reus with some olives and chips before going for lunch.

If you are of those that you love Art Nouveau architecture, a walk in Reus will leave you well satisfied! As you know, there are doubts about whether Antoni Gaudí was born in the capital of Lower Camp or in the nearby town of Riudoms. What is clear is that the great architect lived in Reus his childhood and youth, but no building in the city bears his signature. The area has always been an important producer of wines and spirits, and gained continental importance at the time of the Phylloxera plague. Nowadays it is known by its commercial activity, for being a centre for rock-climbing. It is the birthplace of architect Antoni Gaudí. Gaudi center Reus is an interesting museum dedicated to him. Plaza del Mercadal is the current and historical centre of all activity. Highly recommended visit.
