Much like Aspen and Vail, Breckenridge is a town that is known for its luxe ski resort, stunning mountain scenery, and endless recreation. The former mining town is lined with hundreds of restaurants, shops, and saloons.

Breckinridge is another great option for a day trip, as it is only a 1.5 hour drive without traffic. There is great skiing and hiking in Breck, but the town is also home to great restaurants and bars.

Breckenridge, otherwise known as "Breck" is the most populated and buzzing town within Summit County. It's known for its ski resort, year-round alpine activities and Gold Rush history. The Victorian core of this former mining town is preserved as the Breckenridge National Historic District, running primarily along Main Street, with colorfully painted buildings from the 1880s and '90s housing shops, galleries and restaurants. Recommendations: 1. Coffee Depot- best coffee and breakfast burritos in town 2. Gold Pan Saloon- great for live music at night 3. RMU- chill vibes 3. Blue River Bistro - best dinner spot 4. The Stag - dinner on main street 5. Hearthstone - dinner off main street 6. Amazing Grace - Best post-hike lunch 7. Giampetros - Best Italian Dinner 8. Breckenridge Brewery - local beers 9. Aurum Food and Wine - more $$$ but delicious homemade dinner 10. Above the Blue "REDDZ"- Late-night Food 11. SKI PASS - EPIC PASS ***MAKE RESERVATIONS EVERYWHERE BEFORE YOU GO, BRECK IS FREQUENTLY VERY BUSY***

Mountain town with good shopping, restaurants and shopping. This would be an all day trip as it is a 2 hours away. You can make a loop out of it and see a lot of Colorado.
