Clermont State Historic Site
One of our best kept secrets. Watching the sun set over the mighty Hudson River is one of our favorite things to do in the summer. Often we have the beautiful grounds almost to ourselves. The park closes at sunset so be ready to vacate once the sun has gone down.

American history right here: owner Chancellor Livingston was a framer of the Declaration of Independence. Beautiful grounds and house, Catskill mountain views.
One of prettiest spots to view the Catskills on the other side of the Hudson. Have a picnic. Stroll the grounds. Open daily.
