Great tour of distillery next door to Balmoral. Great drive from house via Glenshee and Braemar.

Well if you want to combine Royal residence viewing (Balmoral) with a distillery tour then this is perfect. Also a bonny drive or bus journey out there.

Royal Lochnagar distillery is situated on the south side of the River Dee close to Balmoral Castle. Old traditions and craftmanship produce one of Scotland's many tipples Open 10.00-17;00

Whiskey! The strong stuff. Visit Royal Lochnagar Distillery and find out how whiskey is distilled using the water comes from the springs above the distillery... On the tour you’ll see the huge stills and see the rooms full of casks then be able to taste some whiskey (puts hairs on your chest!) Make sure you book a space!
